Tupuxuara was a pterosaur that lived 112 million years ago. It was found in the Santana Formation, the remains of an inland sea. Some species were quite small, but the largest skull (length 130 cms) suggests a wingspan of 5.5 metres. It was an Azdarchid pterosaur, the same group as Quetzalcoatlus.

2014年4月4日 · Friday’s pterosaur is Tupuxuara leonardii, which lived about 110 million years ago, in what is now northeastern Brazil. A variety of pterosaurs evolved during the Cretaceous period (145–66 million years ago). Many species had long, slender skulls, and toothless jaws or very long necks.
