Turi (Turese: Ture; Ancient Greek: Θυριαι, romanized: Thuriai) is a town and comune in the Metropolitan City of Bari and region of Apulia, southern Italy. With a population approaching 12,000, it lies a few miles inland from the town of Polignano A Mare on the Adriatic Sea .

Turi sits where the Puglia limestone plain, called the Murgia, starts to give way to the Valle d'Itria. It is southwest of Bari and inland from Polignano a Mare. But stating its location doesn't describe its lovely appeal.
