The FAL (French: Fusil Automatique Léger, English: Light Automatic Rifle) is a battle rifle designed in Belgium by Dieudonné Saive and manufactured by FN Herstal and others since 1953. During the Cold War the FAL was adopted by many countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), with the notable exception of the United States.

2009年11月21日 · There is no difference between a DSA Type 1 & Type 2 when it comes to strength, they are both Heat Treated the same. The difference is only cosmetic, the way they are cut on the outside. DSA heat treats the whole receiver whereas FN didn't and they had some cracking problems in Full Auto fire on Type 1's.

The only receiver that is theoretically stronger would be the DS Arms type III receivers that were milled from a forged billet, but these are no longer produced.

2018年8月6日 · It's fairly old, my guess is earlier 1960s because of the long flash hider, the Type 2 upper receiver, the wooden stock, and the lower receiver having the disassembly lever in the vertical position as opposed to horizontal location. In between 1962 and 1973, FN started production on Type 2 receiver but some older Type 1 still lingered.
