German submarine U-507 was a Type IXC U-boat of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine built for service in the Second World War and the Battle of the Atlantic.

Sunk on 13 January 1943 in the South Atlantic north-west of Fortaleza, Brazil, in position 01.38S, 39.52W, by depth charges from a US Catalina aircraft (VP-83 USN/P-10). 54 dead (all hands lost). U 507 war ein deutsches U-Boot vom Typ IX C, das von der ehemaligen deutschen Kriegsmarine während des Zweiten Weltkriegs im Nord-, West- und Südatlantik eingesetzt wurde. Der Typ IX war ein Zweihüllen-Hochseeboot, dessen Entwurf von der U 81 – U 86 Serie von 1916 abgeleitet war und das in vielerlei Hinsicht dem Typ I A von 1936 ähnelte.

U-507 (together with U-156 and U-506 and the Italian submarine Cappellini) took part in the rescue operations after the sinking of Laconia in September 1942 off Africa. About 1500 men were saved by these boats and by French ships from Dakar (which arrived on 16 Sept, four days after the sinking).

German submarine U-507 sank US tanker Virginia immediately off the Mississippi River Delta in the Gulf of Mexico, killing 27 of 41 aboard. To the south, U-69 sank Norwegian tanker Lise with torpedoes and the deck gun 90 miles north of Bonaire island; 12 were killed, 21 survived.
