The GE U30C is a six-axle locomotive built by General Electric from 1966 to 1976. With 600 units sold, the U30C proved to be a viable alternative for customers who were unable to purchase SD40s from Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) due to production backlog.

2011年11月15日 · These engines are Halpert's U30C undec from the DLS. I managed to get it working with 2010. I then had the crazy idea of alphaing out the top of the radiator section and making a mesh piece for the radiator wings for the U33/36C....this unit has a minimum of details, so adding parts for a specific model can be accomplished.

2021年3月16日 · Atlas plans a late 2021 delivery for an HO-scale Master-series U30C Phase I model. Delaware & Hudson will receive three of its six Phase I road numbers in this production.

The U30C proved to be very popular, selling 600 units during its 10 year production span, making it the best selling Universal Series GE locomotive. This new model from Atlas represents a Phase 1 U30C.

2004年7月30日 · A powerful model of a General Electric U30C six-axle heavy-duty road switcher is now available ready-to-run with and without Digital Command Control (DCC) decoders. Like earlier Atlas HO models, the decoder-equipped locomotives can be switched between digital and analog (DC) modes.

2022年3月31日 · The U30C started production in 1966 as an evolution of the previous U28C, initially sharing the same carbody. A slightly more powerful model, the U33C, was introduced shortly afterward, incorporating wider radiators and a redesigned rear hood section (the latter of which was adopted for the U30C at the same time).

2025年2月18日 · So my question is this: does anyone know a source to get side frames for Atlas HO U30/33/36C locos? Whether they be 3-D printed or you know a guy who has a big stash of these? I’m interested in the (actual) GSC side frames with the high and low mounted brake cylinders. Atlas still sells the left side but not the right. Supmal, good idea.
