Apr 11, 2020 · Viola, it fit like it was made for it and works better than imagined. I didn't set out to make this fit in the UCO, and I had no idea it would fit. That was just a serendipity thing and the results are fantastic. It also works great for added stability just sitting in the candle holder alone with out being inserted in the outer UCO shell.

Dec 22, 2019 · Converts a UCO Candlelier into an oil based heater that will produce 5000+ BTUs. The Candlelier can be had for about $40.00. I found the odorless lamp oil online for about $8.00/gal. Could easily heat a small tent. No issue with smoke if the wicks are adjusted properly, and no moisture issues. No need for a stove pipe.

They are machined aluminum, work great and are not too $$$. I have both the large and small size.

Dairy farms have milk sample bottles. they look like 35mm film canisters only much taller and a little wider. I have a candle burning in my lantern now. Will post pictures...

Feb 10, 2025 · Ive taken a liking to UCO matches of late. They have waterproof in boxes, stormproof i cases and Titan in a larger case. Ive been using the boxed matches to light fires and they work well. The stormproof burn quite a bit longer and have a larger flame. I havent struck a Titan yet, but am chomping at the bit to do so. What matches do you use?

Mar 24, 2019 · The Exotac packaging is nice/useful, but for that price, you could triple your runtime with a three pack of UCO Candle Lantern Beeswax 12hrs (each weighs more than Exotac 12hr), and half the price again for their paraffin candles (although 9hrs), but you need to rig a stable base (eg, a triangle of twigs w/ranger bands).
