The Metropolitan Transit District (MTD) runs a local bus service between North Goleta and Carpinteria. The primary drop off and pickup point at UCSB is the bus loop (North Hall stop) located southwest of the Student Affairs and Administrative Services (SAASB) building.

The College Ride Program will allow UCSB students to ride any public transit bus in Ventura County for free using their Access Card. This program will allow UCSB students to ride the Coastal Express for no cost through the end of the 2024/25 school year.

Please arrive at your bus stop a few minutes before the bus is scheduled to depart. This schedule is effective August 19, 2019.

2022年10月24日 · UCSB Student MTD Riders. Effective October 24, 2022 all UCSB students needing to ride the MTD bus system must tap their Access ID on the farebox to board. No other forms of identification will be accepted. If you received an email from campus recently regarding updating your card, please be sure to secure that prior to attempting to ride the bus.
