But if some 300lbs freak emerges, as it is, there isn’t even a platform for them, not matter how good they are. I don’t see why everyone has to fit into 265. They would be competing against fellow HWs, not OW.

I mean the answer to your question OP might be as simple as thinking there needs to be a weight limit like all the other divisions for HW to be a legitimate weight class.
