We offer a broad range of room styles - from traditional residence halls to apartments and suites - to help students live comfortably and thrive in their new community. The majority of rooms in the residence halls are doubles (shared by two students).

Charles Hall, named after Charles County, a County located in the southern central region of Maryland, is a four-story, coed, building that accommodates approximately 108 residents. All living quarters consist of suites, apartments, and townhouses, which contain a living room, three to four bedrooms and one to three baths.

The on-campus housing program is home to more than 12,500 undergraduate students living in university-owned residence halls and public-private partnership apartment communities. Thirty-nine residence halls are home to approximately 9,500 undergraduate students.

The university’s Off-Campus Housing Services provides personalized information and resources about housing and off-campus living. Resources available online include a searchable database listing rental properties in the area and the ability to search for roommates with similar housing needs and interests.

College Park Scholars makes its home in the Cambridge Community, which consists of five residence halls and a community center on the north side of the University of Maryland (UMD) campus, near the Eppley Recreation Center and Xfinity Center.

The Courtyards are a year-round housing community for upper-classmen students at the University of Maryland. Our community, located on the College Park campus at the University of Maryland, is designed to provide convenience and comfort to our students.
