Starfish for Students - Students First Office
Starfish has two primary functions at UNCG: Early Alert and Connect. Your course instructors use Starfish to give you feedback about your academic performance by raising flags, kudos, and referrals. If you have a Starfish flag, kudos or referral raised you will receive an email alerting you of appropriate next steps to take.
Instructors are encouraged to raise Starfish Flags for students in their courses. The flag an instructor raises will best describe your individual situation and alert the people in your Success Network (e.g. your major advisor, support staff) on how to best guide you to academic success.
