The seal of the University is not the official University of Nebraska–Lincoln logo or campus icon. Designed by our first chancellor, Allen R. Benton, it is today the primary graphic identifier for the University of Nebraska system, rather than the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Redesigned Nebraska 'N' unveiled | Nebraska Today
Announced Dec. 16, the new Nebraska “N” will replace icons used by UNL academic units, Husker Athletics and the Nebraska Alumni Association. The new icon — an optimized version of the Huskers’ “N,” reconfigured to align within a square matrix of a digital pixel grid — will be made available in January.
