U.S. Route 9 (US 9) is a north–south United States Numbered Highway in the states of Delaware, New Jersey, and New York in the Northeastern United States. It is one of only two U.S. Highways with a ferry connection (the Cape May–Lewes Ferry , between Lewes, Delaware , and North Cape May, New Jersey ); the other is US 10 .

U.S. Route 9 (US 9) is a part of the United States Numbered Highway System that runs from Laurel, Delaware, to Champlain, New York. In New York, US 9 extends 324.72 miles (522.59 km) from the George Washington Bridge in Manhattan to an interchange with Interstate 87 (I-87) just south of the Canadian border in the town of Champlain.

US 9W hits I-87/287 at two consecutive exits, due to the Thruway's crawl up the mountainside from crossing the Tappan Zee Bridge. This is NB on the Exit 10 onramp. Old LGS, old shield with old font, both NB at NY 59.

Assigned in 1926, US 9W was signed along its present course to Albany, then continued north along what is now US 9 between Albany and Glens Falls. US 9W was truncated to its current northern terminus in 1930.

US 9W is the western alignment of US 9, the one that doesn’t cross the Hudson. It received its designation in 1930, although it was in a slightly different place for a good portion of its length then.

2024年10月9日 · Officials in Ulster County have begun a new study called the "US Route 9W Mobility Plan" which plans to look at various travel issues along Route 9W in the town of Ulster, NY, and hopefully develop a few solutions that would improve them.
