I updated to windows 11 about a month ago, I have used the mouse and keyboard without issue after the installation/update.

The usb hub port is working o.k. with other devices. I do want to use the above mentioned external drive on this laptop under windows 11!!! Any functioning advice???

If I connect to a USB port on an HP laptop running WIndows 11, it is shows uninitilaised. Files cannot be browsed. As I mentioned in the previous answer, after starting the installation via USB and reaching the screen where you select the disk, press SHIFT+F10 and the command prompt will open, to execute the commands and check if the disk is displayed.
