USS Barber (DE-161/APD-57) was a Buckley -class destroyer escort in service with the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. In 1969, she was sold to Mexico where she served until 2001.

During 22 July, USS Joseph E. Campbell, USS Chase, USS Laning, USS Loy and USS Barber fuelled from USS Cossatot. At midnight during the night of 27/28 July the convoy split in the Hampton Roads and New York sections.
