USS Kimberly (DD-521) was a Fletcher -class destroyer in service with the United States Navy from 1943 to 1947, then from 1951 to 1954. In 1967, she was transferred to the Republic of China Navy where she served as ROCS An Yang (DD-18/DDG-918) until 1999. The destroyer was sunk as a target in 2003.

After the war, USS Kimberly escorted the battleship USS Missouri back to the United States. She was decommissioned at Charleston, South Carolina, United States and was placed in reserve.

The keel of the USS Kimberly (DD521), a 2,050 ton destroyer of the FLETCHER Class of 1940, was laid July 27, 1942, in the yards of the Bethlehem Steel Company, Mariners Harbor, Staten Island, New York, the ship having been authorized by an Act of Congress of July 19, 1940.

USS Kimberly (DD-521), 1943-1967 USS Kimberly, a 2050-ton Fletcher class destroyer built at Staten Island, New York, was commissioned in May 1943. She went to the Pacific in September 1943, making her combat debut that November as an escort for other warships during the Gilbert's invasion.

Departing San Pedro Bay 21 March for radar picket duty, the destroyer off the Ryukyus, was attacked 26 March by two "Vals." Despite accurate antiaircraft fire and numerous hits, one enemy plane, trailing fire and smoke, crashed into the aft gun mounts killing 4 men and wounding 57.
