The Momsen (DDG 92) is the U.S. Navy's 42nd Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer and was named in honor of Vice Admiral Charles B. "Swede" Momsen (1896-1967) who made many contributions to the Navy such as the invention of the Momsen Lung when he was assigned to the Bureau of Construction and Repair.

Charles B. Momsen, aged 70, died of cancer on Thursday, 25 May 1967, at Bay Pine Veterans Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is buried in section 9 / site 5993 at the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
