USS Phelps (DD-360) was a World War II-era Porter-class destroyer in the service of the United States Navy. She was named for Thomas Stowell Phelps, who was a Rear Admiral in the US Navy in 1884.

Flagship of Destroyer Squadron 1, USS Phelps, DD 360, was one of the most active destroyer leaders of the Pacific war. Built at Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corp., Quincy, Massachusetts, with Porter- class sisters Clark, Moffett and Balch, Phelps was commissioned 26 February 1936.

USS Phelps helped with the invasions of Guadalcanal and Tulagi in August 1942. In May 1943, the ship participated in the retaking of Attu and Kiska in the Aleutian chain. Moving to the south, she provided screening during the invasions of Makin Island, the Gilberts, Kwajalein, the Marshalls, and Saipan.
