2015年1月21日 · Here is what I have found by experimenting with the squelch mod on a UV-5R with BFS311 firmware and a UV-82 with B82S25 firmware. The results appear to be the same on both. Other models or firmware versions may have different results. As you may already know the squelch menu (MENU 0) has 10 sub menu settings labeled 0 to 9.

2021年8月17日 · I bought a UV-S9X3, but decided I would go with the UV-5RX3 instead for the larger capacity battery (I think it's about 13 bucks) and the antenna well that actually accepts the tri-band antennas you mentioned (the well on the S9 is too small). It's rather frustrating, trying to determine which "UV-5x" model was the "newest" or the "best".

2016年10月20日 · If your UV-5R or other Baofeng radio goes into transmit full-time when plugged into the programming cable, it may be because you have a Windows 6/7/8/10 computer which automatically downloads the "correct" Prolific driver for that cable. That driver won't work.

2017年5月22日 · The bluetooth tnc mentioned works great with many radios. You can use it with most radios not just uv-5r's. You just need the right cable. The cheapie $20buck cable option will work on many other HT's. They need to have vox and the standard uv-5r pin out. I have had no issues using the cable. Although it is not as versatile or fun as the BT TNC.

2013年11月19日 · Typical "cheap" feel, though. I purchased a 2/220 Baofeng UV-5R at a hamfest a couple of months ago and was surprised at the feel of it. It felt more like a Yaesu than a cheap Chinese radio. Programming the UV-5R from the keypad is very simple. I purchased a number of 2/220 UV-5R's from Amazon and two from Martyn when they were "discontinued".
