The UWF Aquatics Center offers swim lessons for all ages. Swim lessons can be especially beneficial for young children in many ways, including the development of balance and stronger movement skills as well as helping to reduce the risk of drowning.

2008年6月6日 · “Staffed by UWF students, the center provides the university and Northwest Florida community an Olympic size swimming pool where participants can safely learn to swim, recreate or fitness swim.” The Aquatic Center offers a number of programs for all age groups. Children and adults alike can partake in Saturday and weekday evening swim lessons.

The UWF Aquatic Center is the home of the Argonaut Women's Swimming and Diving team. The facility underwent a $4.5 million renovation which was completed in April 2011 and has updated starting wedges, backstroke wedges and a video board.

Aquatic Center Admission and Memberships Currently enrolled UWF Students with school I.D. use the Aquatic Center free of charge. Calendar month memberships may be purchased by the alumni, faculty, and staff at UWF, as well as the general community.

The pool at the UWF Aquatic Center is an indoor Olympic sized pool, regulated at 82 degrees year round. The shallow-end starts at 4-feet, 2-inches, and the deep-end goes to a maximum depth of 14-feet, 8-inches.
