Uig Bay Campsite is a spacious Campsite on the Isle of Skye offering stunning sea views of the Isle of Skye. In 2001 it was completely refurbished, with all new toilets, showers, laundry and washing facilities installed in new purpose-built premises. We also have apartment and cottage self catering accommodation available on site.

Camas Uig (Uig Bay) is a bay on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Uig is a charming port with ferry links to Uist and Harris. There is accommodation and a number of places to eat out in Uig. The Trotternish ridge provides an obvious focus for walkers but there are other shorter walks suitable for all abilities; the Fairy Glen is a beautiful whimsical walk through a valley produced by many small landslides.

Uig beach is famous for being the site where the Lewis Chessmen, 12th century Viking chess pieces, were found (they are now in Edinburgh's National Museum of Scotland and the British Museum in London). You can see replicas in the Uig Heritage Centre in Timsgearraidh.

Small coastal campsite located in the town of Uig on the Isle of Skye with hard standing pitches for campervans and a large grass area for tents. The site has a toilet and shower block and electrical hook up is available for both campervans and tents.

Uig Bay Campsite offers our guests stunning sea views of the Isle of Skye from our well maintained campsite. Our campsite also has a number of picnic benches - perfect for sitting outside for meals and basking in the stunning surroundings of the Scottish countryside.

Uig Sheltered it certainly is, as it is surrounded on three sides by high ground giving panoramic views over Loch Snizort and Uig Bay from whichever direction one approaches. It is busy too, not only as a fishing port but also as the ferry terminal for crossings to Harris and North Uist.

Camas Uige or Uig Bay is in a national scenic area in the south west of Lewis. Public Art structure by artists Marian Leven and Will Maclean that reflects local, historical events which started in the late 19th century and which are on-going into the 21st century.
