UIR Elites were the main special-operation units of the Union of Independent Republics. They were experienced in unconventional warfare and sabotage and countered the COG's own elite Onyx Guards during the Pendulum Wars.

The UIR emblem is depicted upon the left Bicep, and back of the UIR's infantry armor. In addition, black armbands with the UIR symbol drawn in red were worn over the left arms of UIR soldiers in armor.

The Aspho and Elite variants can be unlocked in the UIR Gear Pack, while the UIR Elite is also craftable via scrap, and the Helmetless variants can be unlocked in the Helmetless UIR Gear Pack. There was also a chance of receiving the UIR Elite early in the Locust Sniper and Queen Myrrah Emergence Gear Packs.
