2022年9月7日 · The UISP Router is a router and the UISP Switch is a switch. That is pretty much it. If setting up a small scale WISP and giving out WAN IPs to the sites, what would be more appropriate, a UISP Router or UISP Switch? The UISP switch is incapable of doing this. It does not support NAT. Also it does not support layer 3 switching.

2023年1月12日 · UISP routers are limited to purely what is available in the UISP controller UI, which used to be known as UNMS. UNMS originally gave central control and monitoring of airMax, airFiber, and Edge devices.

2022年1月21日 · UNMS is UISP (it's being actively rebranded) and it's more tailored for Service Providers. No Wi-Fi like Unifi ... Unifi is the prosumer line. No true PtP/PtMP like airmax (although they're doing UBB) Active vs Passive PoE ... Don't get me started. ANYTHING new should be Active using BT standards, end of discussion.

2022年5月15日 · Hi all, My UISP won't update via the "normal" method within the app. Will it hurt anything to run the installation script to upgrade to the latest version? The ubiquiti site just says that it's recommended to do it from within the app without specifying what to do if that fails... Thanks in advance.

2021年2月27日 · System-level nameservers were not set in the affected devices. This may seem boneheaded, but the devices connected before from different IP addresses, so it's unclear why they stopped connecting to the same UNMS/UISP server when they were moved. The DHCP server had DNS servers set, so I didn't think about having to set system DNS servers.

2021年3月6日 · SO that brings me back to my initial question: what is the difference between unms and uisp. I want to assess one or the other and see if it's helpful / insightful for my environment. If you have knowledge/experience with one or the other + familiar with the ubnt devices I'm running I'd be much obliged to hear your perspective.

Internet -> UISP Console -> UISP Switch Pro (Device (RX)) -> UISP Switch Plus 1 -> UISP Wave AP -> UISP Wave Pro -> UISP Switch Plus 2 > Device (TX) I need to configure 3 separate VLANs, VLAN 101, 102 and 103 to put my devices in. - Only the SFP port on the console is/will be used (outside of the WAN port obviously).
