UltraHLE was released, the first succesful Nintendo 64 emulator. What many thought of as impossible was achieved by UltraHLE as the first (and only) release was able to properly play many popular titles, including Super Mario 64 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time. UltraHLE also pioneered a new approach to emulation.

This is the legendary UltraHLE, the first N64 emulator to run commercial games. It even has sound and joystick support (the joystick support isn't too great, though). The initial release could play 17 games, but, with the help of updated ultra.ini files, it can now support many more.

UltraHLE 2064 is not just a hack of UltraHLE but a new version based on it's source code. If you want a completely new emulator then it's what you want. Though the original team is not handling the project the people in charge of it are really tallended and their work can be trusted.
