This is the main repository for active development of the AROS Operating System. The repository contains the main Operating System components, SDK and Build System.

The AROS Research Operating System is a lightweight, efficient, and flexible desktop operating system, designed to help you make the most of your computer. It's an independent, portable and free project, aiming at being compatible with AmigaOS at the API level (like Wine, unlike UAE), while improving on it in many areas.

AROS One is a distribution based on the new Core developed by a developer called Deadwood. It is distributed as an ISO image, which can be burned to a DVD or USB stick 4 GB or larger USB drive.
