UMT Holdings (UMTH) was incorporated on 8th November 2009, as a wholly owned company of University Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), a public university established under the Universities & University Colleges Act 1971.

UMT Jaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (UMTJ) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. UMTJ has been incorporated under the Universities & University Colleges Act 1971, under Section 7 (1) (a), (b) and (c). UMTJ was registered on 8 November 2009 as private limited company with registration number 878175-X.

2024年11月25日 · PETALING JAYA, 17 July – UMT Jaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (UMTJ), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), today signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Pitch Platforms Sdn Bhd (pitchIN) to support the journey of startup companies, particularly those stemming from research by UMT lecturers and students.

Kuala Nerus, 15 January 2024 – Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) through its subsidiary company UMT Jaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (UMTJ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM) to develop, strengthen, and promote the country’s fisheries industry.
