2024年12月30日 · Uniden's SD card models seem to use USB 2.0 speeds while the GRE designs seem to transfer using slower USB 1.1 speeds. That's from tests I did with a GRE PSR800 and TRX2 years ago now. This was the USB speeds between the scanners and the host computer and not related to the boot to ready time of the respective models tested.

What a big disappointment, this is the worst uniden scanner I have ever had going back to the bearcat Electra 3 that was my first. Returning this garbage as soon as I get return authorization. Those scanners need the separate BCi96D card for P25 phase 1 decode however. Actually, I think it was the BC250D that was the first ever digital. I remember reading about that and the 296 and figured out I needed the 296 for my area.
