University of Washington Commencement. On June 14, 2025, Huskies from around the world will once again take the field at Husky Stadium to celebrate their accomplishments in front of 50,000 proud family members, friends and guests.

In addition to the official Commencement ceremony at Husky Stadium, there are over 100 school, college, departmental, and student organization graduation celebrations. Most take place during the week before Commencement or on the morning of Commencement Day.

On June 14, 2025, the University of Washington will honor the graduating class of 2025 at the University’s 150th Annual Commencement Exercises. Over 7,400 graduates will take the field at the magnificent Husky Stadium to the cheers and applause of 50,000 family members and friends.

Commencement is intended to be a festive occasion celebrating the accomplishments of our students. However, it is also ceremonial. Graduates are expected to abide by the following guidelines:

The Office of Ceremonies produces what one former University president referred to as “the two most consequential ceremonies of a student’s academic life”: the New Student Convocation and the University of Washington Commencement.

Graduation at UW means two things must be true: You must complete all degree requirements (including at least 180 credits) by the end of the quarter for which your graduation application is on file. If both of those things are true, you can graduate in any quarter - AUT, WIN, SPR or SUM.

Students graduating in the 2023-24 academic year can order graduation regalia by completing the Registration/Order form at the UW Commencement website. Regalia can be picked up from the UW Bookstore in late May and early June.
