I knew Up in the Air wouldn't win, but I think it was my favorite of the contenders too. Edit: Just looked it up. Other nominees included Inglourious Basterds, Up, Distrcit 9, and A Serious Man. Talk about a great year for movies!

2015年9月26日 · It is true to its characters and leaves you an empty feeling inside because of it. My SO was depressed becaus eof the ending but I argued thats counter to the point the movie is trying to make. Throughout the whole movie he fires person after person an they were left 'Up in the Air' he offers them a new beginning at their lowest point.

Up In The Air is one of the reasons that I think that Clooney is actually a great actor (people get too caught up in him being a celebrity and he doesn't always do great movies) with the other big one being The Descendants and was also the first time I was really impressed with Anna Kendrick. The movie is a little on the subtle, small side.

Genuinely funny, touching without being too heavy handed, and it has some of the best cameos I've ever seen. Perfect if you want something more down to Earth (irony intended)

2023年10月2日 · Genuinely surprised by this movie, had a lot of actors I never would’ve guessed they’d be here. Touched on some deep, uncomfortable topics of life and thought it was addressed very well. Love George Clooney as always, refreshing to see Danny McBride in a character like that - small as it was , and a great job done by Anna Kendrick!
