UrAc was the urRu's Scribe, and counterpart to skekOk the Scroll Keeper. Aside from composing the urRu's prayers and carving their Prayer Sticks, urAc recorded the thoughts of his comrades on unwound cloth spirals, a process the urRu called "writing in rays of sunlight".

The urRu, more commonly known as Mystics, were a race of natural wizards that lived during the Age of Division. Like the Skeksis, they were offshoots of the urSkeks, personifying their wisdom and spirituality, but lacking their passion and innovation.

UrAc the Scribe wrote the simpler thoughts of his comrades on unwound cloth spirals. They called this practice “writing in rays of sunlight.” Thoughts that urAc judged deeper and more worthy of growth were wound into spirals to bring out their richness. UrAc was also entrusted with the task of making prayer sticks and composing their prayers.

The urRu, better known as the Mystics are major characters in Jim Henson's 1982 dark fantasy adventure film The Dark Crystal and returning characters in Netflix's dark fantasy adventure series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

More commonly known as the "Mystics", the urRu are benign counterparts of the Skeksis and embody the urSkeks' redeeming qualities yet are mostly indifferent and rarely act.

Though they are often called Mystics, these gentle creatures that represent the ‘light’ half of the Skeksis are called urRu. When the names of the urRu and the Skeksis are combined, they form the names of the urSkeks: the original race which arrived on Thra and was later split in two by the light of the Triple Sun and the Crystal.

urAc was first seen walking past urTih and urSol nodding at the two as he passed and asked whether those where villagers. He was later seen walking with the rest of the urRu and was unfazed when urTih was burned.
