The M115 203 mm howitzer, also known as the M115 8-inch howitzer, and originally the M1 8-inch howitzer was a towed heavy howitzer developed by the United States Army and used during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Post-WWII it was also adopted by a number of other nations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

The 8-inch gun M1 was a 203 mm towed heavy gun developed in the United States. At 32,584 m (35,635 yd), it had the longest range of any US Army field artillery weapon in World War II. It was also used in small numbers by the British Army.

The M115 8 in (203 mm) howitzer, which was replaced by the M110 self-propelled howitzer, is a towed weapon developed prior to World War II as a heavy artillery weapon.

The M110 is the original 203mm howitzer of the M110 family. The M110 uses the same hull as the M107 and is fitted with a short barreled 203mm M2A2 howitzer. Most M110 have been converted to M110A2 standard.

The MllO's partisans note that the 203-mm howitzer has a longer range, higher accu- racy, and a more powerful warhead as well as being capable of firing an enhanced-radiation ("neutron") nu- clear warhead. But its lower priority scrubbed needed fire control and ballistic-protection updates.

The gun could be elevated between +65 and -2 degrees with 30-degrees traverse to the left or right. 360-degree traversal was only possible by rotating the entire vehicle in a new direction.
