Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) are primarily responsible for maintaining an International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) Heavy classified USAR team, designated under the Olympic code AUS02. A Heavy USAR Team comprises 5 components required by INSARAG Guidelines (Management, Logistics, Search, Rescue and Medical).
