Use a torque multiplier with torque wrench? - AnandTech Forums
2007年10月1日 · Years ago, had a job where the nuts on a steam generator hatch had to be torqued to something like 3000 ft lbs torque, but we only had a 600 ft lb torque wrench. Bring in the 10x multiplier (big heavy sucker, took one person to hold it while someone else turned the torque wrench!!), then only had to torque the wrench to 300 fl lbs.
OC using Turbo Boost Multipliers - AnandTech Forums
2012年10月11日 · Haha! Glad you like the word. I guess it's the C-states then that allow the CPU to downclock itself. I was just curious if overclocking the CPU using the turbo boost multipliers is effectively the same as just changing the master multiplier (at least that's what I call it and it's the setting most people refer to when talking about OC'ing).
Using a torque wrench to loosen bolts - AnandTech Forums
2005年6月23日 · It does. It has a selector for directions, just like a normal ratcheting wrench. I'm not saying that I plan to use a torque wrench to loosen bolts in place of a breaker bar, but I just don't understand why it's bad for the torque wrench if you set it to say, 150 ft-lbs and use it to loosen a bolt that only needs 50 or 100 ft-lbs to come loose.
Best Torque Wrench? - AnandTech Forums
2017年2月5日 · You are not going to die if the torque is +/- 20% on a single automotive bolt. When you have multiple, then the difference between adjacent bolt could end up up to 40% and then you do have problems. Moral:-- First learn to differentiate between torque values using your "calibrated wrist" before purchasing your first torque wrench.

i7 3770 turbo overclocking - AnandTech Forums
2012年8月2日 · Actually, the max overclock you can get in a non-k i5, i7 CPU is the max turbo multiplier +4 bins, so a 3770 (3,9 max turbo) should be able to reach 4,3ghz at one core mode, but since ASUS has a feature named "Asus multicore enhacement" (gigabyte and asrock have features like this one) i should be able to get 4,3 ghz on all 4 cores at full load, but i just can't, …
Using an impact wrench to tighten lug nuts - AnandTech Forums
1999年10月14日 · Been using an impact gun for 25 years and it's never caused a problem. I'm willing to bet that I get all the nuts within a very few lb/ft with it, too. If you know what you're doing with power tools, it's no problem. If you don't use them every day, you probably should use a torque wrench or get a torque stick for your impact.

2022年10月28日 · To test and compare the two products, I clamped two 1/4" bolts in the vise and applied both Loctite 242 and Eskonke 242 to a 1/4" net and tightened it down to 22 in. lb. (2.5nM) using a torque wrench. You need to apply a minimum torque 15 in. lb. for the product to set.

2024年12月30日 · I am not responding to you personally, you already have an opinion I am unlikely to change. I am using you as a foil to address lurkers and searchers, so they get the straight dope with the math to back it up. View attachment 114059 Rapture Lake turned out to be a dumpster fire, as has been pointed out above.
EZ i9 7900X overclocking guide? - AnandTech Forums
2017年10月14日 · Dynamic overclocking has to do with multiplier settings and voltage set via bios. So if you overclock and play with voltage, then when the cpu does downclock, the voltage downclocks in scale with the multiplier. This can then lead to the cpu being unstable at the downclock settings if you also messed withe memory and other settings.
