The TPS82084/5 are 2-A/3-A step-down converter MicroSiP™ modules optimized for small solution size and high efficiency. The power module integrates a synchronous step-down converter and an inductor to simplify design, reduce external components and save PCB area.

The major advantage of uSiL package is designed to best transfer heat to PCB as a means of cooling the device. The thermal vias underneath the device tie the exposed thermal pad to buried layers within PCB, as well as the PCB bottom copper layer. This way significantly improves the thermal performance with smallest total solution.
