Sus = sussy. Bussy was definitely not in mind when we started saying sussy as a joke. Especially since they are pronounced very differently, bussy sounds like pussy with a B. Not bus-y, like a bus 🚐. One thing to note is that perhaps this is different, since sus is already an adjective, not a noun being turned into an adjective.
