To change the all-around vlc icon (except for taskbar and system tray, see below): Use Resource Hacker and change icons in "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe". That will just replace the universal VLC default icon with a different one, excepting for the taskbar and system tray icon, which will stay the same

To change this navigate to Options -> View -> Uncheck: Display file icon on thumbnails Next, if the file preview is small it will show the icon so you need to enlarge the file preview by navigating to View -> Layout.

2016年3月22日 · Just for information. I have one XP also and in that machine VLC is showing thumbnails for flv, may be because of K-Lite Codec Pack. In Win 10 it is showing thumbnail for mp4 files but not for flv. So I am thinking to convert my flv files to mp4 files instead of installing Codec Pack or Icaros.
