The Ruler of Fujairah, H.H Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, has officially opened the UAE’s first very large crude carrier (VLCC) jetty on the Indian Ocean. The development, representing an investment of around AED 650 million, is expected to enhance the port’s already strong strategic position at the heart of global tanker trades.

2020年5月25日 · The new terminal has a VLCC berth (300,000 tonnes capacity), a 100,000-tonne capacity berth and six other tanker berthing facilities, giving the terminal a capacity of 34M tonnes a year. The 100,000-tonne berth is the largest domestic refined oil terminal, with a loading and unloading capacity of 5.6M tonnes per year.

2016年6月2日 · The Port of Fujairah has announced the completion of the construction of VLCC Berth 1. The manoeuvre basin and alongside berth are dredged to -26 meters and it can accommodate LOA of between 240 to 344 meters and DWT of 60,000 – 330,000. Maximum displacement is 87,000 – 363,000 tonnes.

This jetty shall service ship-shore transfers of both Fuel Oil and Crude Oil ONLY. The jetty will be equipped with Berth Approach System.
