A number of models based on the VN Holden Commodore were developed by HSV, the most potent of which was the Commodore SS Group A SV built for Holden’s sporting homologation requirements.

The VN Series HSV Clubsport was released in June 1990 [22] and was based on the VN Commodore. It was offered as a four-door sedan with a 180 kW (245 PS; 241 hp) 5.0-litre Holden V8 engine.

There were only 30 T30s ever made, and these were given to the 30 most successful HSV dealers in Australia, with a plaque on the dashboard showing the build number and the dealership it was given to.
