The HK VP40 is the .40-caliber version of the VP9 (9mm). Heckler & Koch designed the VP40 to use the more powerful 40 S&W caliber ammunition.

The VP40 is a part of the VP line chambered in .40 S&W. The HK40 dimensions are identical to those on the VP9 model. Three interchangeable backstraps and six grip side panels are part of the ergonomic pistol grip design used in the VP40.

The 40 is my choice in service calibers along with many of the departments that I correspond with. The FBI can do what it wants but we are standing with the 40. Bill
