2024年3月5日 · The U.S. government will seek dismissal of Vermont National Telephone (VTEL) litigation against Dish Network designated entities (DE) Northstar Wireless and SNR Wireless over allegations of fraud in the 2015 AWS-3 auction. The U.S. is the relator in the VTEL litigation.

Vermont Telephone asserts that DISH Network and its shell companies failed to disclose these secret agreements to the FCC, with the intention of preserving the shell companies’ putative eligibility for small business discounts. Based on these allegations, Vermont Telephone raises three claims under the False Claims Act, 31 U.S.C. § 3729, et seq.

2022年5月17日 · Vermont National Telephone Company filed a qui tam action against Northstar, SNR, DISH, and several affiliated companies (collectively, “Defendants”), alleging they violated the False Claims Act (“FCA”) by making false certifications and manipulating the Commission’s auction rules to secure fraudulent bidding credits on spectrum licenses.

2024年3月19日 · Relator Vermont International Telephone Co. (VTel) participated in the auction, as did defendants DISH Network, Northstar Wireless, and SNR Wireless. Northstar and SNR provisionally won hundreds of licenses, claimed they were eligible for bidding credits, and submitted the necessary applications to obtain them.

2024年10月22日 · EchoStar, the parent company of satellite TV provider Dish, was granted an extension by the FCC in September. Originally set for mid-2025, the deadline was extended to June 14, 2028, in exchange for a series of public interest commitments, giving EchoStar an additional three years to complete its 5G rollout.
