2013年3月2日 · Just by Measure resistance, or by actually sending a current through it, i would take a 5W bulb and test if the wires could drive it, with no problem, of cause with the connectors on the Engine ECU and G62 disconnected. And when the bulb connected, and glowing, i would wiggle the wires alone the way from ecu to G62, to check for broken wires.

In MY 1995-2002 (?) in Europe at VW-cars the G2/G62 had the bad reputation of breaking down often. The default G2/G62 is black and all replacements are green.

2003年6月10日 · Sensor (G62): Signal too High. Had a friend pull the code from our beloved Passat and it seems we may have a faulty engine coolant temp sensor. If anyone has any tips for it's replacement, including p/n I would greatly appreciate it.

2019年6月20日 · Sometimes the cooling fans stay running too with the ignition on and the EML comes on too. This is the BKD 2.0L engine, it has 2 coolant sensors one at the side of the engine above the gearbox which I believe is G62 and one in the thermostat plastic pipe at the front left of the engine which I believe is G83.

2006年6月25日 · They are both the same gray 2-pin sensor. There is one in the flange at the flywheel end of the head, in the same spot as previous TDIs just more buried on the CJAA. This is the G62, and the P0116 points more to a warm-up time plausibility. Not necessarily that the sensor itself is bad, although it could be.

2014年1月31日 · When the engine is warming up - say within the first ten minutes... or nearer about five.... as the coolant temperature gets to about 60°C, the coolant temperature gauge suddenly behaves erratically - and often drops completely to zero for a few seconds, and then recovers. Usuall twice When the engine is fully warm it sits rock steady at 90°C.
