Removing or cleaning the EGR system and intake manifold on VW TDI or Audi TDI If there is excessive carbon buildup on the intake manifold and EGR, it must be removed and cleaned. 2015年5月4日 · Yeah, got the partsno. for vag plates 038 131 925 and gaskets 028 131 547, so will just buy them directly from my vw dealer. I've had a read on the egr wiki here, but the thing is the mk6 has the egr mounted in a rough spot, so would be great to get some photos from a mk6 to see what I'm dealing with in detail.
Mysterious LEAK, loosing coolant, NO sign of it | VW TDI forum, …
2014年4月29日 · The EGR cooler could leak coolant and go back into the intake through the EGR. Remove the intercooler and pressure test it underwater. Only other place coolant sees intake is the EGR cooler. Also, since you already have what looks like clean green coolant in there, don't mix it with pink VW coolant. It'll sludge and turn brown.

2015年9月3日 · For your 2005 Jetta...dump the EGR if your local inspection does not check. The VW system components are expensive and have very low reliability. 2024年10月27日 · Any idea on good method for clearing the intake manifold runners of, at the lowest point, a 1/4” of nasty carbon buildup? Also interested in a viable method for egr bypass without triggering limp mode if possible. I’m sending the ecu out to programming for a manual swap soon, should I ask while it’s there about egr deletes?

Remove the single torx screw holding the turbo inlet adapter in place and rotate the black plastic adapter towards the firewall to remove. Remove the 3x T30 torx bolts holding the low pressure EGR tube and the 2x T30 holding the turbo outlet adapter (VW calls this a noise dampener).
