2008年3月16日 · I have a 2003 Volkswagen Beetle convertible and the car kept coming up as intermittent for both seats. Couldn't find a new Airbag Control Module so bought a used one from an identical Volkswagen which didn't have deployed airbags. When I installed it and reattached the battery, the Airbag light is still on and now has an audible warning.

If connections are ok, change passenger side crash sensor (G284) with drivers side sensor (G283). If the fault change also, you found a faulty sensor. Replace it. If changing G283 with G284 does not change the fault, then check wiring between G283 and Airbag Control Unit.
