Injection Quantity (IQ) – Nozzle Size - TDIClub Forums
2011年11月28日 · IQ adaptation changes the number IQ that is displayed for a voltage, at idle. Let's say your pump voltage map specifies 1.56v for IQ 4, like in the last example. Let's say your max IQ is 45, at 3.6v, like in the last example. The difference in voltage between min and max If you adapt IQ lower, you have same 1.56v, but IQ says 2.
IQ settings for ALH injector upgrade - TDIClub Forums
2008年7月7日 · I think a well set-up car with the right size nozzles for its equipment and tune should run well and with minimal smoke when the IQ is at 3.0 or so. IQ settings do affect torque, but not HP. I ran dynos with the IQ at 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 and lost about 20 ft/lbs. of torque going to the highest number. HP was unchanged.

Timing and IQ adjustment - TDIClub Forums
2014年10月19日 · If you have to set the IQ above 5 you have a hardware mismatch, IMO, such as nozzles too big for the turbo or tune. Hammer mod is a work-around for this issue. I've never thought it was a good idea to set timing with VAG-COM, but instead set it by moving the pump sprocket. Get the timing into the mid to high 60s and set the IQ at 3.0 or 3.2.
Proper IQ? - TDIClub Forums
2021年4月19日 · What would be a good IQ range on an ALH with a tune? I've been reading 3 to 5. I currently have mine at 5.2 roughly. What differences in FE and performance will I see at 4 or lower? Right now I feel a noticeable jump in power as I had went from stage 3 with 4.2 IQ to 5.2 IQ with the following setup below: vnt 17 stage 4 malone 11mm pump .216 ...
IQ adaptation. Effect on throttle? - TDIClub Forums
2015年10月24日 · The injection quantity or IQ is the amount of fuel the pump provides per stroke of its piston to the injector. It is calibrated to indicate a certain voltage when it is providing a certain volume. The number you refer to is the fuel it is providing, or thinks it's providing if it's been messed with, at idle to maintain the 800 or so RPM.
How-To: Hammer Mod w/Pics & Cake! - TDIClub Forums
2008年3月16日 · Step one; Ensure via VCDS that your IQ isn't adjusted software wise. If it is reset it back to the 'stock' value. To check this; connect VCDS to your running car and head into the engine controller. Click the 'Login' button and enter '12233'. Then hit the 'Adaptation' Button. Enter channel '01'. Now you can actually see your IQ and it's value.
What Exactly is IQ (Injection Quantity)? - TDIClub Forums
2001年4月28日 · On a properly calibrated pump the IQ is presumably pretty close to reality. Take as a baseline a warmed up engine with a properly calibrated pump. Say it idles at 930 with an IQ of 5.0. That is really 5.0 since it's calibrated. Say you hammer it to an IQ of 4.0. It still idles at 930, load on engine is the same so the actual IQ is still 5.0.
Adjusting IQ. Which way??? - TDIClub Forums
2014年12月2日 · do you have stock nozzles? you can adjust via engine adaptation. click Login button in engine module, enter 12233. then you can adjust "IQ" up/down a certain amount. being as low as 1.6 you will likely need to hammer mod. the question is why is it that low. for a stock tdi, 3.5-4mg at hot idle is likely most accurate, imo. if you lower it, it's going to be a little overfueled, which is may or ...
