2012年6月25日 · Mine just failed about an hour ago. I got the coil light flashing. I thought it was the HPFP at first. I checked the HPFP regulator and it was clean with no metal pieces. Then I checked the code and got p0544 EGT Sensor Bank 1 sensor 1. I have 32,600 miles on my Golf TDI so I should be covered under warranty. I will take it to the dealer tomorrow.

2012年6月14日 · Generic OBD2 scanner showed P0544 EGT sensor bank 1 sensor 1. This was right at the beginning of an important trip so I used the Torque app to monitor the temps. Everything seemed usual except the pre-turbo temp would occasionally max out to 1800 F , even during situations that didn't make sense like coasting or engine braking down hill.

2024年1月16日 · Successfully fixed the EGT sensor and replaced it which erased the P0544 code. Now I’m trying to force a driving regen. It seems as if the soot load calculated keeps rising as I’m driving. Is this normal? Shouldn’t a regen lower it? It was initially at 44. Now 45+, and have driven for about a good 30-45 mins.
