2022年1月5日 · I updated my MST2 VW PQ unit from 0245T to 0253T. The process was pretty smooth and It seems radio, phone etc work fine. However the navi system cannot recognize the map. I used a 32G SD card for the update. It contained both 0253 firmware and V11 map. After the update, it failed to read the map.

2021年7月17日 · Update to latest supported firmware (MST2_EU_VW_PQ_0254T or 0253T - not sure), install latest version of toolbox (download from github), enable developer mode (VCDS or OBD11 or CarScanner or VCP or whatever), go to toolbox and patch SWaP with it, replace USB port if required (CarPlay requires special port; AndroidAuto will work on any port).

PQ35 is intended for compact-size vehicles, and PQ46 is an enlarged version for mid-size vehicles, such as the Volkswagen Passat. A common misconception is that the PQ46 generation of the Passat is based on the "B6" (PL46) platform. However, this transverse engined Passat has little in common with the longitudinal engined "B6" Audi A4.
