The VX 4/90 was a sporting derivative of the Victor, initially based on the Victor FB, but subsequently included in the FC, FD and FE Victor families. May 1968 saw the return to the Vauxhall range of a Victor estate, now based on the Victor FD. [24]

The VX 4/90 forms part of Vauxhall's V72|94000 FE model series. The 4 cylinder, single overhead camshaft naturally aspirated powerplant has 2 valves per cylinder and a capacity of 2.3 litres. It produces power and torque figures of 109.5 bhp (111 PS/82 kW) at 5200 rpm and 190 Nm (140 lbft/19.4 kgm) at 3000 rpm respectively.

The ‘sporty’ saloon joined the range in 1970 alongside a facelift for the standard Victor models. Externally the 4/90 could be identified by it’s rostyle wheels and prominent white cross on the grille, while inside featured bucket seats and more comprehensive instrumentation.
