The EuroVelo 6 follows three of Europe's major rivers: The journey begins in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins on France's Atlantic coast and concludes in Constanța, Romania, on the shores of the Black Sea. This symmetrical start and end at major bodies of water creates a poetic framework for an epic cycling adventure through the heart of Europe.

After leaving the cultural centre of Vienna and passing through the prairies and forests in Eastern Austria, you will enter Bratislava, the friendly Slovak capital with enjoyable wines and preserved medieval city walls. The route continues on the canalised Danube, crossing the Hungarian border.

With almost 1.300 km of completely developed roads, EuroVelo 6 is one of the easiest and most pleasant in France. It connects the Atlantic to the Alsace, follows the Loire ‘à Vélo’ from the river mouth in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins passing by canals in Burgundy, the Saône and Doubs valleys, to the Rhône-Rhine Canal.
