Velorex was a manufacturing cooperative in Solnice, Czechoslovakia. Notable products included a small three-wheeled car , produced from the 1950s until 1971, and the Type 562 sidecar . The sidecar is still manufactured in the Czechia by Velorexport, the successor to Velorex.

Velorex 16/350-1966 Originally designed as invalid cars by Czech brothers František and Mojmír Stránský in 1942, the first “Oskars” (“car on axle”) were simple tube-framed cyclecars with a seat next to an engine, inspired by the British Morgans.

Velorex sidecars currently ride mainly in Europe and the US. Installed to various motorcycles of many brands, they attract attention wherever they go. And what is important to us?

The Velorex 562 has a tubular steel frame. The body is made of both fiberglass (no rust!), reinforced at vulnerable and stressed areas, and rests on the frame on rubber blocks at the front and rear. The fat 20mm (13/16") axle is supported by an adjustable hydraulic shock absorber mounted on a swing-arm for smooth and comfortable riding.
