2023年4月30日 · Another account frozen post as many of you have seen before. I barely use Venmo, or at all, really. I only went on it because my new employer felt bad that payroll has been taking a bit longer for me and other employees, so he sent me money for 2 weeks' worth of pay, which I definitely needed for bills and rent.

My account is also currently frozen because someone was trying to scam me with an accidental money transfer scam. The stranger sent the money to me. They sent a message asking for it back saying it was an accident. I didn't touch the money. I thought I had dreamed it and went back to sleep. Now my account is frozen. 🤷🏼‍♀️

2021年4月15日 · My account was frozen nearly 2 weeks ago after i received a large retro-active payment from my unemployment. I believe some security measures were tripped because i tried to sign in off my computer (which was a new device) and got my password wrong a bunch of times. I was trying to link a bank account to my venmo so i could transfer my funds out.

2024年6月1日 · I opened an account, added a checking account and it was immediately frozen. I never used it. Now, I just want to cancel it and they refuse to cancel it until I send in all my ID information. I won't be doing that. Venmo is dead to me.

2020年6月9日 · So my account got locked permanently for “Your Venmo account has been frozen due to recent activity that appears to be a violation of our User Agreement” I don’t know what I did I send my ID and they said it’s locked for ever and I can’t have any other Venmo accounts!

2021年12月7日 · PayPal owns Venmo. So if you get frozen on Venmo you get frozen on PayPal and vice versa. I’d try to reach out to them again later on, because Venmo is experiencing some issues right now due to AWS. If you’re frozen for good though, there isn’t much recourse, and I suggest you use an app with a better reputation.

2022年7月21日 · Similar issue here. Created my account more than three weeks ago, linked my bank account, and sent my wife $10 as a test. Two days later I received a message saying my account was frozen due to recent activity that appears to violate the user agreement. I submitted the requested ID immediately and then nothing.

Thankfully my account was restored within 7 days after submitting the documentation they requested. I learned a valuable lesson from my experience. I no longer store any money one Venmo. I cash out regularly just in case my account gets frozen again. I understand people’s frustration and concerns. Venmo honestly isn’t a very good platform.

2022年8月4日 · My account was frozen for a month. I just got it back this week. I didnt even got email notif about them suspendeding my account. I messaged them and they said account specialist will email. None. I messaged trough app recived none. What made them respond, is to tweet them on twitter. Every time I tweet them somebody will respond same day.
