On the P200, the motor was an evolution from the Rally 200's powerplant. On the P125 and P150, the motor was derived from the Sprint's motor. On the 200, the big change was the substitution of a Ducati electronic ignition for the Femsa unit.

A 66.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 198.0 cubic centimeters. The bike has a 4-Speed, grip-shift, constant mesh transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.
